it in terms of Extreme Unction and
preparation for death.]

recommend this English edition of the ritual. The format and page
arrangement is
more helpful than that of some other editions. "This official rite makes clear
distinction between those parts of the rite intended for the sick and those
reserved for the dying,
and between the ideal full rite and the shortened
emergency form. Printed in two colors, with three
ribbon markers." Every
minister of this sacrament should have read and studied carefully the

10-22,
and the introductions to each of the rites.]

Senior brings a new
way of understanding the gospel healing stories beyond just portraying instances
of Jesus'
compassion and power. Miracles and exorcisms says Senior, are stories of
human liberation
and inclusion. The comprehensive scope of healing in the gospel stories
can be appreciated
as metaphor for the Christian mission as a whole, in which death and
resurrection are seen as
the ultimate healing.
Nini Leick and Marianne Davidsen-Nielsen, Healing Pain:
Attachment, Loss and Grief Therapy
It is co-written by a clinical psychologist and a psychotherapist/social
counselor that co-direct a
training program for professionals in the treatment of pathological grief in
Copenhagen, Denmark.
The inside cover says the following: Healing Pain investigates why the process
of grief can be such
a dramatic turning-point for those who undergo it, and why they can never
remain as they were
before. A bestseller in Scandinavia, it is based on ten years of intensive work
with people affected
by, or at risk from, both normal and pathological grief.
